Saying goodbye to London
Hello again. As you already know, I will be departing London this Friday (Aug. 6th), and heading back home to the states!!! I have truly enjoyed my time here in London, and I will be sad to leave, but I am so excited about returning home and seeing my friends and family. So much has happened since the last email I sent out. My flatmates and I were able to tour Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, and The Houses of Parliament, including Big Ben. I have taken lots of pictures, so as soon as I return home, I will email them to you all. Also, my flatmates and I attended a play titled, "The Complete Works of Shakespeare," and we were able to sit in the 2nd row, and it just so happened that one of the cast members pulled me out of my seat, and brought me onto the stage to play the part of Ofelia from Hamlet. I have to say that I was quite embarrassed and shy at the same time, but it went well. When the house lights went out, I was then instructed to scream as loud as possible when the spotlight was on me. I was nervous, but it was so funny. :) I was also able to attend Hillsong again on Sunday night, and the service once again was amazing and a blessing to me, especially because I was able to bring Katie, who is one of my new friends/flatmate. She truly enjoyed it, and it was her first time to be at a church like that. So it was awesome to be able to share my beliefs with her. One thing I do ask is that you please pray for a friend of mine that lives here in London. His family just came down about a month ago due to his dad being diagnosed with cancer, and ever since, his dad has been placed in a special clinic here in London. Well, yesterday morning, his dad passed away. So I just ask that you all please pray for his family as they are facing this difficult situation, and for safety as they leave London today for the funeral services. Thank you so much for keeping in touch, and for all of your encouragement and support during my time here. I miss you all so very much, and I am anticipating to see you all again. P.S. Please pray that all goes well for my flight on Friday morning. Kind regards.
